For many comic collectors, the condition of a comic book is crucial—not just for visual appeal, but also for value. This is where CGC grading comes into play.
The Certified Guaranty Company (CGC) is the world's leading provider of professional grading and sealing of comics.

During grading, your comic is examined by experts, assigned a fixed condition category (1.0 to 10.0) , and then sealed in a sturdy, transparent slab sleeve – including a serial number, detailed information, and a certificate of authenticity.

Whether you want to protect your favorite piece, increase its collector value, or sell it later, CGC grading is the gold standard for quality and trust in the comics market.

🔧 How does grading work at ComicPete?

  1. Send in your comic or hand it in in person
    You send us your comic or bring it by after consultation.
  2. Cleaning & pressing (optional, but recommended)
    Before grading, we professionally prepare your magazine – for the best possible evaluation.
  3. Submission to CGC
    We handle the entire process with CGC – including shipping, forms & tracking.
  4. Receiving the graded comic
    After returning from the USA, you will receive your comic back in a CGC slab – securely packaged and insured.
